Server Setup Protocol

Installing the SonicPlay Windows Server

(Simple 3-Step Guide)

Installation Simplicity

The setup.exe file handles nearly all dependencies and configurations automatically. The only required user action is approving the firewall access on first run to ensure connectivity with your mobile client.

The setup file simplifies the entire installation process. It handles all necessary file placements and system configurations automatically. Ensure you download the file directly from the official source.

  • Download the SonicPlay Server setup.exe file from the official link: sonicplay.levizr.com.
  • Run the setup.exe file.
  • Follow the prompts, selecting whether to create a desktop icon or not, and hit the Install button. The installation is quick.

To stream audio/data, the server requires inbound access through the Windows Firewall. Approving the connection on first launch is the only manual step required to enable basic network functionality.

  • On the very first launch, a Windows Firewall pop-up will appear.
  • This is crucial: you must allow network access for the SonicPlay Server to broadcast data to your mobile device.
  • If you miss the prompt, you will need to manually add an exception in the Windows Firewall settings for the SonicPlay program.

The server application's interface provides all the tools you need. Use the settings panel to optimize the server for your system and ensure uninterrupted service, especially by enabling the Run on Startup option.

  • On the Home Screen, you can instantly control basic playback features like pausing/playing audio and adjusting the broadcast volume.
  • Click the Settings button (gear icon) for advanced options.
  • Under Settings, you can find two crucial checkboxes: Run on Startup and CPU High Priority.
  • Use the three control buttons—Force Stop, Restart, and Start Server—to manage the server process.
